This trail is part of a larger network of trails known locally as State Patrol. This is one of the few trails/segments that does not start at the top of the system off Freeway. You'll see the sign marking the beginning of this trail on Main Street, just past Big Tire. It's fast and smooth in the way down, shortly after you cross the dirt access road, the trail will split. Follow the fork to the left to stay on this trail (the right fork will take you down to Fred & John's).

A little further down you'll come to a four way intersection of trails. Go straight through to stay on this trail (right will take you down to Fred & John's, left will get you back to the dirt access road faster).

This trail ends at one of the many dirt access roads running across the area. Turn left and you'll be able to finish your run down on either Big Tire 2, Big Tire, or Main Street. Turn right and you'll have the option of finishing your run down on either Fred & John's, X-Cut, Baja, Slalom, or Bump & Grind. Or just stay on the access road to the Bottom Access Road. It can be ridden in either direction.
4-20-19 Sage is all gone from the fire, but spring has brought green back into the area.
