Hollerback Trail

Overview

This is a coastal purpose-built singletrack trail in the Coos County Forest which flows through the County's timber harvest lands on perfect clay soils. This flowing trail is easy to climb and descend with rolling features and grade-reversals that wind between trees of all ages, around drainages, and through the fern and moss covered coastal forest.

This is the "main" two-way trail which can be accessed from the top gravel logging road off West Beaverhill and ridden down (be mindful of uphill traffic) or from top to bottom as a climbing trail after descending Well Shot or coming from Captain Blacklock in the western side. There is an access trail off Whiskey Run Road which will put you 0.3 miles from the "start" of Hollerback where you can climb or descend from there. This is a great trail for all levels of riders.

During the rainy season, please allow significant time for the trail tread to dry out. For a truly unique experience, enjoy this system at night with bright headlamps and watch the dark forest come to life. Wear bright colors during hunting season.
