This ride starts from the Oakmont Park parking lot, and follows a fence line to the first climb on South Lane Connector. It is a short but technical one. It then opens up to a plateau with a fire road descent to the main Live Oak Preserve Trail. You have the option of climbing up to an out-and-back on the southern ridge, or continuing clockwise on the main route.

After crossing a wash, you turn right towards the parking lot, and then begin climbing on the Oakridge Trail (Short) singletrack. This short and prime climb puts you on the main Oakridge Trail (Long) trail, which is very flowy. At the end of this, there is a short road climb to houses on the ridge, where you jump back on the upper portion of the Oakridge Trail (Short). You reconnect at the descending switchbacks, and ride those back down to the valley.

At the bottom, turn left to go back to the parking lot.
Lots of green!
