This is the Vail Lake Fire Road that loops around the large trail area. You can ride this in either direction or loop around and connect to a variety of trails along the path. The fire road described here begins at the top of the mountain and drops quickly down the the dam. <br><br>The road is very steep in some sections (hence the black diamond); some of the corners are loose and can be intimidating at full speed. It pays to take a quick break at the dam to catch your breath, relax your grip, and have a look around before continuing to the base of the mountain and going up for another run.
