Wildcat Mountain is a prominence on the high ridge between Eagle Creek and Boulder Creek in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness. It is a former fire lookout site. Views are limited as conifers have grown up since the lookout was dismantled. However, Mount Hood , Mount Adams , and Mount Rainier can all be seen on a clear day. Huckleberry Mountain is closer and, if you push through the rhododendrons on the south side of the summit area, you can get a view of the Eagle Creek drainage.
