This little-known trail runs north from the lovely, and equally obscure, Clear Creek Crossing Campground in the nether regions of the Barlow District, Mt. Hood National Forest. It is not to be confused with the Rimrock Trail #704 of the Roaring River Wilderness in the Clackamas River District. This Rim Rock Trail, constructed early in the 20th century, once ran from Clear Creek over the Rim Rock Ridge down to the White River and Barlow Road. These days, the trail is maintained by 44 Trails, the dedicated Hood River-based mountain bike group. However, the upper section of the original route, which reaches the Rim Rock Ridge , has not been maintained since the 2017 Rim Fire, so to reach the ridge some log clambering and bushwhacking is required.
