Grasshopper Point is a gently sloped prominence on the ridge that runs south from Badger Butte . The west slope of Grasshopper Point is a massive talus field that drops to Boulder Creek. Between the 1933 and 1967, there was an 84-foot lookout tower here with several outbuildings. Only a couple of concrete pedestals remain. There are no views from here, so head north along the ridge on an old road track and reach an andesite knoll from which a trees have been cleared to get a view of Mount Hood .
