Overview
Oak Spring lies within the Washington DNR-managed Columbia Hills Natural Area Preserve, which was formerly part of The Dalles Mountain Ranch. It is surrounded by a relatively large woodland of Oregon white oak with a few ponderosa pines among the oaks. The upper spring is protected by a fence. Other springs issue below the fence.
