Bright Cove Hike

Overview

Bright Cove is one of three off-trail Oregon Hikers Field Guide hikes in the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument area that lead to lesser-known geologic formations like those found within the monument (the others are Stovepipe Cove and Sunrise Cove ). As with all-off trail hikes, familiarity with wayfinding is essential. Printing the map on this page to carry with you is recommended, along with leaving word with someone on your hiking plans.
