Black Canyon Hike

Overview

This eastern side of the Sutton Mountain massif has some significant side canyons, but the only one completely within public boundaries is Black Canyon. After the first mile, an easy walk up a broad wash, any explorations here are off-trail adventures, whether you want to explore a narrow slot canyon, scramble higher up Black Canyon, or do an extended jaunt to the Sutton Rim.
