Proxy Falls Loop Hike

Overview

Proxy Falls , for good reason, is a very popular stop on the McKenzie Highway. Access is via a trail across an old lava flow colonized by vine maples which put on a spectacular display in the fall. There are actually two waterfalls here, with the flow of Upper Proxy Falls ending up in a mysterious pool with no visible egress. The falls are within the Three Sisters Wilderness and are accessed via a one-way counter-clockwise loop.
