Mill Creek Falls Hike

Overview

A spectacular stretch of the Rogue River tumbles just south of Prospect near Highway 62. Boise Cascade has developed this section as the Mill Creek Falls Scenic Area. Mill Creek Falls plunges copiously off a cliff into the Rogue and just a short distance away Barr Creek Falls , a slighter ribbon waterfall that is 240 feet tall in two tiers, drops off the same cliff. In the same short hike, you can visit the Avenue of the Boulders , massive rocks buried among the deep pyroclastic flows of Mount Mazama’s great eruption 7,700 years ago and unearthed by the action of the river.
