Overview
The City of Grants Pass purchased this prime piece of property in 2019 but there was already a network of hiker/mountain bike trails coming into the oak woods from the neighborhoods. The most direct path is the “bomb” trail (described here) that rises directly from the trailhead very steeply until it reaches the summit ridge. Wildflowers bloom abundantly on these slopes in the spring, and there are a few views across the Rogue Valley. The summit itself, however, supports a radio antenna and lacks good views.
