Catherine Creek Meadows Hike

Overview

This gradual hike takes you up the North Fork Catherine Creek to a couple of mountain meadows and the Catherine Creek Cabin . The trail can be accessed from the beginning of summer, but expect to be found by the mosquito hordes in the meadows at that time! Also at that time, some creek crossings may require a ford. You can camp at the trailhead, and there also also campsites in the trees next to the meadows. Day hikes from the meadows take you on rarely maintained trails up the North Fork and from Deadhorse Flat along the rim of Cartwheel Ridge.
