This small refuge is a brushy, boggy haven for wildlife just off the Springwater Corridor in an area otherwise dominated by towing yards and junk car lots. Willow, cottonwood, and alder provide the canopy, and there's an open pond at the north end. Visitors can take the short loop trail off the Springwater to look for migratory songbirds in the spring and fall. Numerous resident species, such as towhees and Bewick's wrens, use the refuge all year.
