Beginning at Graham Oaks Nature Park, on the western outskirts of Wilsonville, you’ll follow a section of the Tonquin Trail, a route that informs about the great Ice Age floods of 15,000 years ago. Using paved paths and sidewalks, the Tonquin Trail takes you in to the Morey’s Landing area of Wilsonville. While most of the Willamette riverfront here is private property, you can make a detour from the Tonquin Trail to Arrowhead Creek Park, which houses Wilsonville’s water treatment facility; here, interpretive signs explain the whole process. A short, stepped trail leads down to the river. To make a loop on the return, you’ll use a closed off lane, some sidewalks, and the trails through the Park at Merryfield to return to Graham Oaks.
